INTRODUCTION

I was trying to make a simple math game...

but for some reason it won't work properly. Can someone please tell me what's going on here...?

It was created in three days at Patch Notes v1.0

This puzzle might be a bit challenging. Give it a try when you want to exercise your brain. There are currently 12 levels available.

I manage to go to level 5 by trying things at random, and I have no idea how this game works

Thanks for playing and commenting!

Symbols like “+-*/=” are different from standard mathematical symbols, but numbers can be calculated using specific rules. By figuring out and memorizing those rules, I think you can reach the next level.

I hope you have an “aha!” moment.

Ooh, I really thought it was broken but now I see it, and it's super interesting!

I love maths so it's a great challenge

Hehe...

I figured out all of the operators and it was quite hard, but very absorbing. :D It's like in the Eleusis card game, you have to experiment and find the rules, but here you have to think out of the box a lot, as you don't know how far can stretch the rules

But I am afraid a lot of player will hit a brick wall and dislike the game without understanding it

I didn't have a "aha" moment because you never know if you have all of the rule, but I really enjoyed the challenge. Thank you! :)

Congratulations!

I was worried whether anyone would make it all the way through, since some puzzles required a bit of creative thinking. But you proved it's possible!!

I understand, as you said, that grasping the rules takes time, and that's where the challenge lies. I think adding hints or small interactions to guide players when they get stuck is feasible within the game design, so I'll consider it.

Thank you for the wonderful feedback.

It was a fantastic challenge!

(If we update it or expand it for a product release, I'll work hard to make sure you get at least a little bit of that “aha” moment next time :))

Maybe I am a bit too strict when I say I didn't have an "aha" moment.  There is still like level 7 where I thought "wait, is it possible that..." and it worked! Or when I found the ? using the ! I found before... And when I found the ! also, finding a strange behaviour that hint at what is special, trying it and it worked. I don't know if it can be more intense, but it was effective already :)

I see. I was a bit worried whether you ever felt any enjoyment. Anyway, I'm truly delighted that a player like you played the game. Thank you so much! I'm really happy.
